Cottonwood+

Here are some shots from a recent camping trip up Cottonwood Creek in the Crazy Mountains. The two shots of the meadow were taken well after dark...the full moon helped with shadows. Still, they look cool with the streaking stars and daylight brightness. The stone in the creek shot was with Cre up Hyalite Canyon...my first extended water exposure. And, of course, more bugs.

I've been "away" recently because my computer has taken a serious faceplant. I'm kind of back up for a short time, then back down again to format and reinstall the OS. Also, I'm heading to Canada on Thursday to visit Bill and Adrienne Lovely for 5 days...so I should come home with some great shots of British Columbia and a story or nine. Ahoy!

Livingston Shots

I got ahold of a Canon EOS-10D last night, and I was out testing it out on some Livingston vistas. I'm using it to help photograph a friends wedding in Big Sky this weekend. Fun camera! Code Red, I understand how you must feel with your new 20D. That's a lot of camera. Anyways, here are some pics from around town.

down by the river

These were down by the river on a short trip my bearded fishing friends. I don't have a beard so I can't join the club. Borris the dog is in heaven in this shot. Only in Livingston would you see a creation like this purple monster. It's a bus, bus, bus.

Action Flik

I just finished shooting a short action movie, which was maybe one of the coolest and scariest things in the world. I did get to kick some serious ass though.

2005 Chicago Air & Water Show

Here's a few selections from my time on the Chicago lakefront watching the Air show. I was there on Friday for practice and good thing too. Two of the Thunderbird planes touched on Saturday and a piece fell off one of the planes causing them to cancel their show on Sunday. Beautiful weekend for the air show this year with temps in the 70's, but quite hazy.
These pics were taken from Montrose Harbor.

Hopper

Greeting Phoblographers,

Hey Cody thanks for the invite. Here are some photos I took while helping a photographer associate of mine while she created a fashion spread for Distinctly Montana - Bozeman lifestyle ad rag. Whatever that is! At any rate, I helped Alexa Miller with her shoot of my daughter Jennie Lynn and her friend Aspen in Yellowstone Park. The images below were stolen (with permission) while holding scrims, reflectors. It was quite different and I thought that the results of which are worth sharing.

I shot with my D2H which I've been doing more of lately.
I haven't blogged with photos before, so... here goes!

Later, Larry
